It’s no secret that amazing mobile experiences rely upon great data, especially when it comes to search.
Today we’re proud to announce the expansion of Factual’s partnership with Microsoft’s Bing. Bing has been leveraging Factual’s Global Places data – which covers local businesses and other points of interest in 20 countries – to help power local relevance in all Bing properties including Bing.com and Bing Maps across both web and mobile search. Building up the success of the relationship, Bing has decided to expand the scope of the relationship to encompass 5 more countries.
Comprehensive and accurate local data is critical for building a contextually relevant mobile search product. Bing delivers a fantastic mobile search experience and we’re thrilled that our data is a part of it.
